Hi Reader,
Many of you have been reading my newsletters for over a year now. If that’s you, then chances are you’ve been seriously entertaining the idea of starting something of your own.
And that’s where it gets tricky.
The phrase “starting a business is hard” often has less to do with the mechanics of the business itself and more to do with the emotional hurdle of taking that first real step.
You might still be unsure about what kind of business to start. Or maybe you already have a strong idea. Either way, the breakthrough comes when you start moving because once you take small, intentional actions in that direction, something shifts. Your thinking clears up. You get sharper. More resourceful. Suddenly, you start seeing opportunities you couldn’t see before.
So instead of listing all the things that might be holding you back, I’m going to give you three reasons why procrastinating is actually the riskier move:
1. Time won’t wait for you
Depending on your life stage, you may currently have more flexibility, vitality, and even disposable income than you will in 10 years. Yes, you can start a business at any age, but if early retirement, freedom, or lifestyle design is your goal, the clock is ticking. Businesses take time to mature and fund your life. Start now, so the future you doesn’t have to start from scratch later.
2. Your idea is most valuable now
Your idea may feel unique and maybe it is. But ideas age fast. The market shifts, technology evolves, and others are out there building similar concepts. The mix of your experience, environment, and insight makes your idea the most powerful right now. Don’t miss your window of relevance by sitting on it too long.
3. You’ll regret missing out on the life you could’ve had
There’s nothing like waking up excited to do what you love. To be in control of your time, your energy, and your income. To treat yourself and your family without guilt. These are the years you’ll never get back, and the longer you wait, the more you’re putting off the freedom and fulfillment you deeply deserve.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need to start.
If you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is it.
So here’s what I’ll leave you with:
Pick one action this week that moves you closer to launching your business.
Not a big leap, just a clear, forward step.
And if you need help figuring out what that step is, hit reply. Let’s talk.
Your future is waiting.
Successfully,
Rozanne
